Young Leaders Workshop on Frontier Quantum Matter

Welcome to the Young Leaders Workshop on Frontier Quantum Matter, an invitation-only meeting to be held at The Karuizawa Prince Hotel West from September 7–11, 2026. The workshop will bring together a select group of young scientists who are emerging leaders in topological and strongly correlated quantum matter, with the goal of exchanging ideas, identifying new scientific directions, and building long-lasting collaborations across the international community. Scientific discussions will highlight frontier areas including exploratory crystal growth and characterization, advanced spectroscopy using both laboratory-scale and beamline tools, unconventional superconductivity and its quasiparticles, emerging magnetic orders and their control and coupling to electronic states, and the interplay between topology and correlation in new materials.
